HAWAII STATE CHAMPIONSHIP CONTEST QUALIFIER FOR THE
WORLD KARAOKE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Winners include countless local musicians and performers, as well as four-time Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Kalani Pe’a and American Idol two season contestant, Bryant Tadeo.
KBXtreme is Hawaii’s premier family entertainment center, located on the Big island of Hawaii, and offering free Karaoke 7 nights a week from 6pm. We build our qualifiers and shows to include Hawaii State bars, businesses, and talent mentors, who prepare winning contestants for their entry in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Karaoke World Championships Nationals Contest.
Our venue hosts events large and small, and our Hawaiian Idol contest has drawn judges of international fame, and up to 500 spectators.
All contestants for this season must be 21 and older to complete. Junior catagories (under 21 years) are added during some Hawaiian Idol Seasons. Seasons begin in a new year and conclude each summer. Watch our social media channels for announcments.
Adult qualifications are open every day after 6pm until the competition is full. Qualifications begin each Januay.
If you are chosen as a contestant by our karaoke host and qualifier judge, you will get a golden ticket from the host, fill out the appropriate forms online and pay the World Karaoke Championships entry fee of $20. A reminder call/email will be done a week prior to your scheduled semi-final date. Please arrive 15 -30 minutes early to recieve important instructions on your call time.
The Hawaiian Idol contests will take place over two dates, at KBXtreme, held on the Karaoke Lounge Stage or center concourse over the main stage over the lanes, depending on the amount of contestants entered. Qualifiers take place in the Karaoke Lounge at KBXtreme.
